Method
Rinse and dry the pearl1 barley, then spread it on a hot skillet and toast, stirring constantly.
Add butter, lightly brown, then transfer the pearl1 barley to a bowl.
Melt sugar, honey, and lemon4 juice over low heat, stirring constantly.
Add the pearl1 barley, mix well, and spread the mixture evenly on parchment paper.
Shape into a rectangle, press down firmly with the back of a spoon or spatula, and let it set.
Mark lines to divide into squares before baking.
