Method
Soak the bread in milk6 until soft.
Mix the soaked bread with the ground1 beef, onion3, egg, salt and pepper until well combined.
Shape the patties about 7–8 cm in diameter and 2–3 cm thick.
Preheat the air fryer to 190 °C.
Cook the patties in the air fryer at 190 °C for 14 minutes, turning halfway, until golden and juicy and the internal temperature reaches about 70 °C.
Rinse the buckwheat2, add about 1 part buckwheat to 2 parts water, bring to a boil, and simmer 15–20 minutes until tender; season to taste.
Serve: plate the buckwheat2, top with the patties, and place cucumber7 slices beside; garnish with herbs if desired.
