Method
Wash the cauliflower1 and cut it into florets about 3–4 cm; boil in salted water for 5 minutes and drain well; grease a baking dish with butter5 and preheat the oven to 190°C.
Beat the eggs2 with milk3, salt and pepper until smooth; keep the mixture near the counter.
Place half the cauliflower1 in the dish and spread it evenly.
Pour part of the egg mixture over the cauliflower1 and stir lightly to let it soak in.
Sprinkle part of the cheese on top, then add the remaining cauliflower1 and repeat pouring the remaining egg mixture over it; finish with the remaining cheese.
Bake: place the dish in the oven and bake at 190°C for about 20 minutes until a golden crust forms; determine doneness by the golden top and the firmness of the center.
Serve: remove from the oven, let stand for 5 minutes, cut into portions and serve.
