Method
Prepare: wash the banana3, peel and slice into rounds 0.5–1 cm in diameter; heat the milk2 to boiling (about 100°C).
Pour the milk2 into a saucepan and stir in the rolled1 oats; add a pinch of salt. Heat — high, 1–2 minutes, until it comes back to a boil.
Reduce heat to medium, simmer the oats for 4–5 minutes, stirring, until the mixture is soft and slightly thickened; aim for a thick and creamy state.
Remove from heat, add the butter4 and stir for 1–2 minutes until fully melted and the mixture is smooth and creamy.
Cover the pot and let it stand for 2 minutes on low heat; the mixture will reach the desired consistency and become velvety.
Spoon the oatmeal into a bowl, top with banana3 slices, and serve.
