Yogurt with berries

Ingredients

1
  1. 1 Plain yogurtpack 300 g ≈ $2.10 150 g
  2. 2 Mixed berries (frozen)pack 300 g ≈ $3.50 50 g

Grey rows are pantry staples: salt, oil, spices. They are not counted in the serving price.

Method

  1. Prepare the berries: rinse with cold water, remove the stems, and pat dry with a towel; if the berries are frozen, thaw them at room temperature until soft, or soak them in yogurt to thaw.

  2. Cut the berries into pieces about 1–2 cm in diameter.

  3. In a cup, place the yogurt, then top with the prepared berries.

  4. Serve immediately.

Tips

Why it works
Thaw berries at room temperature to avoid soggy texture from condensation; frozen berries release water when heated.
Substitutions
Use fresh berries instead of frozen. Rinse and dry them first. Substitute yogurt with sour cream for a thicker texture.
Common mistakes
Over-soaking berries in yogurt makes them mushy; check if they’re still firm after 10 minutes.
Storing and reheating
Eat fresh or store in an airtight container for 1 day; stir before eating. Freezing is not recommended.
Serve with
Pair with a slice of whole-grain toast for a balanced snack or serve cold after a warm meal.

In short

  • Marked healthy: the planner picks it more often for the goals “lose weight” and “eat well”.
