Sixty dishes for a husband or father on 23 February: seventeen starters, from kholodets, liver cake and belyashi to honey-soy wings, garlic croutons, a roast beef sandwich and a pickle plate; four soups, among them solyanka, borscht with garlic buns, shurpa and kharcho; thirty-one mains, from goulash with mash, homemade pelmeni and chebureki to meatloaf with an egg inside, beef in red wine, shashlik, plov and pork neck in mustard; a 23 February breakfast, four cakes and pies, kvass and cranberry mors.
Every dish has a price per serving from average supermarket prices. Servings here are man-sized, 500–700 kcal for a main, and no dish needs anything beyond meat, dough, potatoes and an oven. Below are six ready tables with a total and cooking time.
Every recipe has a servings counter: set the number of eaters and the grams recalculate. Servings are man-sized: mains 500–700 kcal, starters 400–500, soups 500–600; for a party evening one person needs a starter, a soup or a main and a slice of cake.
Everything slow is made the day before: kholodets simmers six hours and sets overnight, the liver cake soaks eight hours, kvass ferments a day, beef in wine braises two hours. The morning is for soup and the main, the evening for starters and platters. Make pelmeni and chebureki together: that is half the holiday.
このコレクションから一週間を組むGoulash with mash, homemade pelmeni, pork chops with fried potatoes, meatloaf with an egg inside, beef in red wine or pork neck in mustard. Add a pickle plate and a honey cake. The husband's dinner menu above shows the price per person, and half of it gets finished the next day.
Herring with potatoes, borscht with garlic buns, homestyle cutlets with mash, caramel apple charlotte and mors: the dad menu above. Among starters fathers usually expect kholodets with mustard and liver cake; both are made the day before.
Belyashi, chebureki, honey-soy wings, nachos with meat sauce, garlic croutons with cheese sauce, roast beef sandwiches, meat pizza. All of it is eaten by hand without reheating; for four, count two starters per person and one main.
Garlic croutons, chebureki, belyashi, a big beef shawarma, pork chops with fried potatoes, goulash, pelmeni, solyanka, borscht and shurpa: the stove is enough. The no-oven menu above is made of them.
The menu for four friends above shows the price per person from average supermarket prices; the priciest things on a meat table are beef, tenderloin and lamb, the cheapest are liver, chicken and dough. Pork neck, drumsticks and mince give the same table at half the price of beef.
